Puffs Play Crest

This piece was created in Procreate and then transferred to Illustrator for crisper quality for printing.

This was created for Puffs Play, fall 2023, as a set dress tapestry piece. This was printed on mat paper (for easier lighting purposes) and mounted with staples onto the front of the fireplaces’s overhead “vent”, the center of the set.

This crest takes note from the original style of the Harry Potter Franchise, crossed with the style of the spoof that is Puffs. Puffs, the play, is known for a patchy and cartoonish look, as seen in the posters and playbills. After consulting with my director, I replicated the traditional shape of the Harry Potter Hogwarts crest, rendered the house animals in the Puff’s style, and flipped their order in the crest itself.
